Once может стоять перед основным глаголом, после глагола to be и в начале предложения:Once there was a village there — Когда-то там была деревня.
(2). Для описания событий, которые должны совершаться в будущем, употребляются выражения one day и some time:one day — для далекого будущего;
some time — для событий ближайшего будущего.
I'll ring you up some time this week — Я вам как-нибудь на этой неделе позвоню.
He hoped his dreams will come true one day — Он надеялся, что мечты его когда-нибудь сбудутся.
Наречные обороты one day и some time могут стоять в начале предложения, но чаще стоят в конце. (3). Русские предложные словосочетания раз в день (в неделю) соответствуют в английском языке беспредложным конструкциям, включающим наречие once 2.:once a day (a week).
Оборот more than once соответствует русскому неоднократно, много раз. (4). Наречный оборот at once соответствует русскому сейчас же, немедленно и может стоять перед основным глаголом, но чаще стоит в конце предложения.
